Standard labs answer "is something broken?" Your DNA, your hormone metabolites, and your gut microbiome answer the question that actually matters: why do you feel the way you do - and what should you do about it?
Let's actually find out what's going on.
Bloodwork is a snapshot of what's happening right now. Genetics, hormone metabolites, and gut diagnostics tell you WHY it's happening - and what to actually do about it.
Most patients who come to us have had "normal" bloodwork for years while still feeling awful. Standard labs were designed to catch disease. They weren't designed to find what's quietly driving how you feel day to day. That's the gap we're built to close.
If you see yourself below, this is one of the most valuable investments you can make in your health.
"My labs are normal. They say it's anxiety or stress. But I know something is wrong with my body."
You've been to doctors. You've had tests. Everyone says you're fine. You know you're not. Fatigue that doesn't lift. Brain fog. Mood swings. Gut issues. Chronic pain. Symptoms that are real, persistent, and ignored. Genetic and functional testing finds what standard testing was never designed to look for.
"Generic protocols aren't enough. I need to know what works for my body."
You train. You eat clean. You sleep well. You want the edge that comes from knowing what YOUR specific biology actually needs. Power vs. endurance gene profile. Recovery time. Optimal training intensity. Caffeine metabolism. Anti-inflammatory pathways. Antioxidant needs. The information professionals use to compete.
"I've seen five specialists. I've spent thousands. I still don't have an answer."
Chronic symptoms that come and go. Mysterious flare-ups. Reactions to foods, supplements, or environments that don't make sense. Diagnoses that don't fit. You've been to GI, endo, rheum, neuro - and you're still looking for the actual root cause. This is where we tend to find what others missed.
Each test answers a different question. Together, they give us a comprehensive picture of what's happening with your body - and why.
If you've ever done AncestryDNA or 23andMe, those tests analyzed 600,000+ genetic markers. We extract every clinically useful insight from your existing raw data file - no new test, no kit, no waiting on lab work.
Methylation status (MTHFR, COMT, MTR, MTRR). Pharmacogenetic markers for common medications. Detox pathway genes (CYP enzymes, GST, SOD). Inflammation tendencies. Hormone metabolism patterns. Supplement form preferences. Caffeine and alcohol metabolism.
Three custom reports - full genetic breakdown, pharmacogenetics, and personalized nutrition/supplement/exercise plan - plus a results visit and PDF copies of everything.
"You have a COMT slow variant. Caffeine and stress hormones clear your system 3-4x slower than average. That's why one cup of coffee feels like three - and why stress lingers in your body for hours after."
A cheek-swab kit shipped to your door, specifically designed for nutrigenomic and functional medicine analysis. The gold standard for clinicians who want to translate genetics into a real protocol - not just an ancestry report.
Same depth as raw data upload PLUS dedicated panels for nutrient absorption, food sensitivities, hormone balance, methylation, detoxification, inflammation, oxidative stress, cardiovascular risk, weight management, and athletic performance.
The official 3x4 Blueprint report (clinician-grade) PLUS our 3 custom reports - pharmacogenetics, full genetic breakdown, and a personalized plan. Results visit included.
"Your VDR variant means you need significantly more vitamin D than the standard recommendation. Combined with your GSTM1 deletion, your body has a harder time clearing oxidative stress - which explains the fatigue and inflammation patterns."
The most advanced hormone test available. Dried urine + saliva samples collected over a full day at home. Measures sex hormones AND their metabolites, plus cortisol patterns most labs never check.
Estrogens (estrone, estradiol, estriol) AND their 2-OH, 4-OH, 16-OH metabolites. Progesterone metabolites. Androgens including DHEA, testosterone, and 5α-reductase activity. 4-point cortisol curve. Melatonin. Oxidative stress markers (8-OHdG). Methylation markers.
Full DUTCH Complete report with my custom interpretation focused on what's clinically actionable for you. Results visit and personalized lifestyle + supplement protocol.
"Your total estrogen looks normal - but your metabolites show 60% going down the 4-OH pathway, which is the more inflammatory route. Cortisol is high at bedtime and low at wake, exactly inverted. We have a clear target."
DNA-based stool test that maps your gut microbiome with the precision of qPCR. Single sample collected at home. Detects pathogens, parasites, yeast, and bacterial imbalances most standard testing misses.
Beneficial bacteria balance. Opportunistic overgrowths. Pathogens (H. pylori, C. diff, Giardia, etc.). Yeast and fungal overgrowth. Parasites. Intestinal inflammation markers (calprotectin). Digestion markers (steatocrit, elastase). Immune function (sIgA). Leaky gut indicators (zonulin).
Full GI-MAP report with my custom interpretation, included as part of the Total Blueprint package along with the 3x4 Genetics and DUTCH Complete.
"Your secretory IgA is severely depleted, calprotectin is elevated, and you're carrying low-level H. pylori plus an opportunistic Klebsiella overgrowth. That's the inflammation engine driving your fatigue and joint pain - none of it would have shown on standard testing."
The difference between a software-generated printout and a real protocol is the hours someone spends with your data.
When your results come back, I personally review every variant, every metabolite, every marker. I write your custom reports by hand. I build your supplement protocol around your specific findings. I cross-reference your genetics against your medications, your symptoms, and your goals.
Most clinics hand patients a software-generated PDF and a quick 15-minute review. That's not what we do. What you get from Sovereign Health is the result of careful, hours-long analysis by a practitioner who knows what to look for - and what to do with what he finds.
Anonymized examples of real findings from real patients. Names and identifying details have been removed.
Through genetic testing, we identified that a patient preparing for scheduled surgery had variants affecting how their body metabolizes certain anesthetics. We shared the findings with their surgical team before the procedure so they could factor it into their plan. This is the kind of information you only learn from genetics - and only if someone knows to look for it.
One patient's genetic profile revealed that a planned chemotherapy agent would have been significantly more toxic to her body than the average patient. The finding was shared with her oncology team for their review and consideration. Genetics doesn't replace conventional cancer care - but it can absolutely inform it in ways standard testing never could.
A patient with a seizure disorder was preparing for brain surgery. Through careful evaluation and a vitamin B trial - based on metabolic patterns suggesting a methylation issue - the patient experienced significant improvement and was able to avoid the procedure. Not every case has this outcome. But this is what's possible when someone takes the time to look upstream of the symptoms before assuming surgery is the only path.
We routinely uncover that "healthy" foods are quietly driving symptoms - fatigue, joint pain, brain fog, GI issues. Foods you'd never suspect. Histamine-related triggers in fermented foods. Oxalate sensitivity in leafy greens. FODMAP issues in foods marketed as gut-healing. Knowing what to remove (and what to add back) often changes things within weeks.
Some patients arrive on multiple long-term medications and through pharmacogenetic review we identify that one or more of those medications may not be a good fit for that person's specific biology. We don't change prescriptions - that's their physician's call. But we provide the information so they can have an informed conversation with their prescriber about whether something safer might work better.
Cases described above are anonymized examples of clinical findings. They are shared for educational purposes only and do not constitute medical claims. Outcomes vary patient to patient. Sovereign Health's services complement, but do not replace, conventional medical care.
